We decided that a Pierce first birthday was best kept quiet and small and simple. Mommy likes to stress over silly things on days that should be stress-free, so I have decied to force myself to keep events such as these as stress-free as possible as to enjoy them the way they should be enjoyed -whew. We dont have as much elaborate stuff to eat or fancy decorations and don't really even have the greatest of pictures, but it was sweet and fun. -goal!
Beckett had a wonderful day thursday (d-day. well, b-day) We went to Moe's and got his favorite -the cheese quesadilla. Then friday afternoon Bebe and Papa came in and let mama and daddy go on a much needed date to a yummy restaurant- Takosushi. We ate lots of strangely delightful things. Saturday we played all day, had a nice lunch and then had a little partay with the papas, grammas and sissy, trey and tay, of course. Among the gifts were a big basketball goal which daddy happily assembled and a new big shiny truck. What more could a boy want? Beckett loved the cake the most. Had electric-blue boogies the next morning, but said it was all worth it.
