Ant Farm

So I was feeling brave this week and decided to try a day out. Our first just mommy, Fin and Beckett. 2 kids -check, 2 sizes of diapers and wipes -check, juice -check, boof -check, double stroller -check, wallet -check. O.k, both kids in the car -chaos, but accomplished. As I am backing out of the driveway I see someone flagging me down -don't have the time for this. So I get out, smile talk and am back in the car which was still in the garage and has now filled with fumes. This had started as a good trip and is beginning to slowly circle the drain. Nevertheless, we are off.......I begin driving and am feeling pretty good when suddenly I feel something on my foot. My heart begins to beat, and in slow motion I look down and discover 32 million ants on my flip-flopped feet. AHHHH! Again, I jump out and begin to wildly smack and bang the buggers off -wrong action, I know. They are everywhere which makes my head begin to itch which I naturally scratch -now I have ants in my hair. I am making some progress with the smacking and banging when I notice the farm that had accumulated, during my confident moments driving, in the floorboard of the car. They are housing themselves in the fibers of the carpet. I am now beating my car crazily with a flop. In the mean time the person whom I had so graciously spoken with in the driveway passes by smiling and waving in his blissful state of aloneness in his car ignoring my psychotic actions. My children are now screaming for passies and juice (I am typing and itching).
Many minutes pass and I feel ok to re-enter the car which was about the time I notice the pest control man pass in the bright red truck which reads "Got Bugs?" Not funny right now God.
Well, we made it to Target...we liked that place, I think we'll have to try that one again sometime... and managed to get throught the store, and back to the car. Next time I will use the buggy instead of the double stroller though. Balancing a 12 pack of paper towels, 9 bags, 2 kids and a cheese pizza for miss priss is quite an attention grabber apparently. We made it, alive!

What WONDERFUL pictures of your BEAUTIFUL family...we loved getting to "catch up" on all your stories, too...sorry about the ants!

May God continue to bless each of you (hopefully, those blessings will include lots of sleep, too!)

With all our love,
